Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO), it is the province’s first and only dedicated Indigenous tourism organization that focuses on uniting communities, Indigenous organizations and industry leaders to support the growth of Indigenous tourism in Ontario.
Its mission is to assist Indigenous communities, entrepreneurs and tourism partners with programs that build capacity to produce high quality products and services. Its success will be guided by the positive impact on Indigenous people, the environment and the economy.
ITO wants to be part of Ontario’s tourism conversation and it believes in listening and sharing. To start the dialogue, ITO is extending an opportunity for you to help shape and grow our Indigenous tourism industry for the betterment of Ontario.

OPERATOR SURVEY LOOKS FOR INPUT FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES
On Feb 5, 2019, the following information was forwarded by the MBEDC office to all fixed roof accommodators, RV parks and campgrounds within the Mattawa Bonfield region.
It is another opportunity for businesses within the tourism sector to help guide destination tourism marketing efforts – efforts that ultimately bring busine$$ to Mattawa Voyageur Country.
We hope our region’s operators will participate in the survey.
Destination Northern Ontario (DNO) is currently conducting a survey of fixed roof accommodation operator performance in Northeast Ontario. This survey
will have many benefits to this organization and for tourism in the Northeast region. As you know, accommodation performance data published through Statistics Canada is usually three years behind, and only collected from the traveller's experience. With your help, Destination Northern Ontario will be able to utilize recent operator performance data to track changes in tourism accommodation receipts for the region, and enhance tourism marketing plans for Northeast Ontario for 2019/2020.
Should you choose to participate in this survey, you will have the opportunity to WIN A FREE ONE YEAR MEMBERSHIP with Northeastern Ontario Tourism.
